Some things I think about.
In 2018, I made the decision to involve myself in social media, and after my experiences on Instagram growing niche pages, I desired to devote myself further to that strange, evolving environment with the view of opening up new ground and connecting with many of the creators I so greatly admired.
Writing this in 2026, the dynamic of the landscape has changed drastically, as has my role in it. I've developed opinions and skills, and with respect to my current portfolio, an insatiable hunger to build something bigger than anything previous.
This site is intended to be a publication of my travels and personal experiences throughout what is commonly referred to as the "creator economy", so that I may impress upon the reader my knowledge and ability within my vertical, alongside my overflowing passion for it.
Of much of that knowledge, there is scarcely anything I can claim as my own. I have taken not only facts and ideas, but phrases and quotes from other creatives, whom I must at least do myself the pleasure of mentioning below. On the "creator economy" they are Emily Herrera, Colin Rosenblum, Samir Chaudry, Reed Duchscher, Jordan Schwarzenberger, Nathan Graber-Lipperman and Derek Yang. On business: Blake Robbins, Mitch Lasky, Paul Graham, Matthew Ball, Donella Meadows and Scott Kupor.
All the works of the above should be carefully read by those looking to understand the evolution of new media.
Surprised by how few creators have meaningfully entered SaaS. Apps, productivity tools etc.
Slop isn't beating good content. Good content is simply more expensive to make.
